Abstract
This article analyzes the role of natural factors in the formation of pilgrimage tourism. In particular, it scientifically examines how the natural and geographical location of sacred sites, climatic conditions, landscape characteristics, and ecological state influence the development of tourism. The study highlights that favorable natural conditions, such as clean air, water sources, and green landscapes, not only attract pilgrims but also create an environment for spiritual purification and emotional balance. The article emphasizes that natural scenery plays a crucial role in shaping the visitor’s spiritual experience, while sustainable management of these environments ensures the long-term preservation of both natural and cultural heritage. The integration of ecological balance and spiritual tourism is proposed as a key direction for the sustainable development of pilgrimage destinations in Uzbekistan and beyond.
